Federal Government Rebate

Rebates of up to $500 for either

• the purchase and installation of a new rainwater tank which is connected for internal reuse of the water for toilet and/laundry use.
• the purchase and installation of a permanent grey water treatment system.

A rebate of $400 is available for a tank with capacity of 2,000 - 3,999 litres.

A rebate of $500 is available for a tank with capacity greater than 4,000 litres.

These rebates are available in addition to SA Water rebates

SA Water rebates

Rebates are available to purchase and plumb a rainwater tank for uses such as

• toilet flushing
• clothes washing
• hot water supply

The rebates are

Up to $800 to purchase a new rainwater tank with a capacity of at least 1,000 litres.

$200 to plumb an approved seamless water switching device.

$200 to add an additional rainwater tank or replacement tank.

To qualify for a rebate the tank must

• have a capacity of at least 1,000 litres
• be connected to a toilet cistern, the hot water service or all cold water outlets in the laundry.

Homes built after 1 July 2006 are not eligible for SA Water rebates.
