Rain Heads

If you do not have gutter screens, leaves and twigs will invariably build up in your gutters. These may be intercepted and removed by using a rain head placed immediately under the gutter.

Leaves and gross debris are washed along gutters with the rainwater flow. A mesh screen built into the rain head diverts debris away from the downpipe. Screened water then flows through a secondary mosquito proof stainless steel screen and enters the downpipe. A possible entry point for insects to your tank is blocked.

Our preferred rain heads are either a Leaf Eater or a Leaf Beater. Both are suitable for use with 90 or 100mm round downpipe, 100 x 75 or 100 x 50mm rectangular downpipe, so connection to youe existing downpipe is simple.

These rainheads are made from lead free PVC and may be painted to match your gutters or fascia.

  • Leaf Eater - ideal for high rainfall areas or where there is a heavy leaf load.
  • Leaf Beater - a more compact unit. Only 245mm high. Ideal for use with a tank installed under the eaves. Adjustable leaf screen angle to optimize performance.
